Along with being smart, funny, attractive and having excellent taste, Upside Down World readers have also done awesome things like fund medical care for Christian children in Pakistan. Atif Jamal Pagaan is a Christian civil rights lawyer living in Faisalabad Pakistan and a long-time friend. He's also a real life super hero - the person people turn to when there's no one else brave enough to help. I've worked with him on raising funds for emergency medical care for children, arranging care for a little girl through the Smile Foundation, advised him on aftercare for trauma victims, applying for a grant from the National Endowment for Democracy and other projects. Today Atif is more than returning the favor by arranging for safe housing and passage of Afghan activists being helped by my organization Food for Thought Afghanistan.
